Day Break is perfect for any time of day. Blended from medium roasted Tanzanian and Ugandan coffees to form the base, and a bit of our dark roasted organic Honduran coffee, it has lots of body and a rich full flavor finish. Enjoy a smooth sweet flavor with hints of earthy, herbal flavors.

We have been ordering Daybreak for years. Before, we changed seasonally: darker coffee for the dark days of winter; lighter coffee for summertime. Now, though, we have settled on Daybreak because of its richness and brightness in perfect balance. It used to be, when we lived close to UVCR, Andrea would deliver our order to our front porch, mind you! Now that we’ve moved away, we mail order five pounds at a time. And we marvel that at the end of the month, the coffee is virtually as fresh as when we first received it!

We’re past the Solstice, so Sun is sleeping in of a morning, rising whenever he gets around to it. The birds, too, now that their domestic duties are complete, take their cue from Sun. All of which means I’m out on my front porch enjoying the silence of the predawn time, listening for the first songs of the birds…first, the Carolina wren, then the rest of the crowd: cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, robins…until the raucous crows begin their noisome cacophony. Ah, but by then I’m on my third mug of Daybreak! How I do enjoy this so-well-balanced blend! I have nothing against the richness of Front Porch, mind you, merely a preference for the brightness-and-depth of Daybreak.
